The the Hail Regional Municipality has completed more than one million square meters of asphalt paving work during the first half of this year, as part of its maintenance and operations program aimed at enhancing infrastructure efficiency and improving the quality of municipal services.
The Secretariat explained that the asphalt paving work carried out exceeded 1,014,060 square meters on a number of roads and streets, contributing to improving the efficiency of the road network, enhancing safety, and promoting the smooth flow of traffic.
The work included the development and maintenance of sidewalks covering an area of 155,061 square meters, with the aim of improving the pedestrian environment and enhancing the quality of public facilities, in addition to the maintenance of 4,656 streetlights to improve lighting efficiency and enhance safety on roads and in neighborhoods, as well as the construction of (868) parking spaces at a number of key locations to support traffic management and meet the needs of residents and visitors.
