His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Tabuk Region, presided today—in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail—over a signing ceremony for a package of contracts, agreements, and development, investment, and housing projects in the region, as part of the ongoing support and attention Tabuk receives to promote development, improve quality of life, and foster the growth of both the region and its people. The event took place in the Emirate’s main reception hall.
(5) City Sanitation Contracts
His Highness witnessed the signing of five contracts for city sanitation in Tabuk, which expanded the scope of areas covered by the service compared to previous contracts by adding a fifth area, with a total value of 380 million riyals, thereby contributing to improved cleaning efficiency and the quality of services provided.
An agreement was also signed between the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve and the Tabuk Regional Municipality for the handover of a site to establish an engineered landfill, thereby enhancing integration in waste management in accordance with best environmental practices, and supporting the Municipality’s efforts to develop an engineered landfill system, promote sustainable waste management, and preserve the environment and quality of life in the region.
On the investment front, His Highness witnessed the signing of projects by the Municipality’s company “Bawabat Investment,” with total revenues and construction costs amounting to approximately 1.5 billion riyals, including a number of high-quality projects in the city of Tabuk.
Signing of the Tabuk Commercial District Project
The projects included the signing of the Tabuk Commercial District project, which features a variety of commercial, healthcare, entertainment, and hospitality activities, The project covers an area of approximately 140,000 square meters, with an investment and construction value exceeding one billion riyals, thereby strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors and contributing to financial sustainability and an improved quality of life in the city of Tabuk.
Residential and Commercial Towers
An agreement was also signed for the construction of six residential and commercial towers in Tabuk, on a land area of 86,815 square meters, with every two towers connected to each other, and featuring a mix of administrative offices, hotel apartments, and retail spaces in a vibrant area of Tabuk.
Signing of a Residential Community Project
The projects included the signing of a residential community project west of Tabuk and north of the Central Park, covering an area exceeding 302,000 square meters, The project comprises 626 residential lots and 31 commercial lots, as well as 4 facilities and 3 parks distributed across 3 service zones. The project’s design takes into account the urban identity of Tabuk City, as approved by the Saudi Council of Architecture, It contributes to achieving the objectives of the Housing Program, one of the programs under Saudi Vision 2030, and promotes environmental sustainability through its designs and carefully distributed green spaces, thereby enhancing green infrastructure and solutions for water conservation and natural drainage. The project is located in a vibrant area west of Tabuk.
Housing Development Project
In the housing sector, His Highness the Prince of the region witnessed the signing of four contracts for housing development projects on land owned by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, valued at 354 million riyals, including the construction of 344 housing units, bringing the total number of units in Real Estate Development to 5,100 housing units, thereby contributing to the provision of diverse housing options that meet the needs of Saudi families, supporting an increase in homeownership rates, and helping achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
177 new residential units
A contract for 177 residential units with a total value exceeding 72 million riyals was also launched and signed, of which 137 have been completed in the city of Tabuk and 40 units in the Haql Governorate are currently under construction, as part of the efforts of the “Sakan” Foundation to provide housing for eligible families.
His Highness also handed over 317 housing units as part of the “Sakan” Foundation’s contribution to providing permanent housing for eligible families through the “Housing Generosity” through the “Generosity from Us and Within Us” campaign, which enjoys the direct support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince—may God protect them both—with His Highness praying to the Almighty to make these homes blessed.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness the Governor of Tabuk Region honored the donors participating in the "Tabuk Generosity," affirming the role of community partnership in achieving development impact and embodying the value of cross-sectoral integration in supporting housing initiatives and enhancing their impact on society.
The Secretary of the Tabuk Region, Engineer Hossam Al-Youssef, expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Governor of the region for his patronage and guidance, praising the support of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and his continuous follow-up on the work of the municipal and housing sectors in the Tabuk Region, explaining that these contracts, agreements, and projects are part of efforts to strengthen the partnership with the public and private sectors and enable them to perform their roles with high efficiency, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi cities and the quality of life within them, and embody the integration of efforts between the Tabuk Region Governorate and the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing to support the region’s development and implement priority projects, thereby improving quality of life and ensuring sustainable development.
