Saudi Electricity Company inaugurates the first fully electrically powered building

As part of its efforts to produce clean energy, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) recently inaugurated the first environmentally friendly building that is fully powered by solar energy, at the company's compound in Dammam in the Eastern Province.

This step comes as part of SEC's plan to expand the use of renewable energy technologies and apply the standards of optimal use of electricity. On this occasion, Saudi Electricity Company explained that the first environmentally friendly building is completely powered by solar energy. On this occasion, Engineer Ayesh Al-Shammari, Senior Vice President of Public Services, explained that the experiment is the first of its kind in one of the company's buildings, noting that the building is currently operating entirely on clean energy, without any feed from the grid, through the design of a solar system consisting of 12 photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 3000 watts, in addition to supporting storage batteries.”

Senior Vice President of Public Services, Engineer Ayesh Al-Shammari, explained that the experiment is the first of its kind in one of the company's buildings. <According to SCE's Senior Vice President of Public Services, the project feeds a building with a daily capacity of 57 kilowatts, resulting in electricity savings of up to 1,500 kilowatt-hours per month.
