The Developmental Housing Program signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with the Ma'awa Association for Social Services and the private Developmental Housing Foundation “Sakan,” to provide 1,500 housing units to the most needy families among the association’s beneficiaries across all regions of the Kingdom, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and his Deputy, His Excellency Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Badeer.
The program explained in a press release today that the agreement aims to achieve integration between “Developmental Housing” and the nonprofit sector to provide 1,500 housing units to beneficiaries of the “Ma’wa” Association in all cities and regions of the Kingdom. This will activate the role of civil society organizations in the housing sector, increase their contribution to the GDP by supporting developmental housing projects in the Kingdom, and enhance community participation to achieve social stability for the most needy families, and increasing the homeownership rate for Saudi families in line with the targets of the Housing Program—one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030—to 70% by 2030.

The agreement was signed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing for Developmental Housing and Community Participation, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Qaraawi, and the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Maawa Foundation for Social Services “Sakan,” Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Saadan, and the Executive Director of the Mawa’a Association for Social Services, Engineer Muhammad Adnan Al-Saman.
His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, to the ongoing efforts in the developmental housing sector to enable the most needy families to own suitable housing, thanks to the continuous support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his trusted Crown Prince —may God protect them—for the housing sector to achieve social and economic stability for Saudi families.
The Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Private Developmental Housing Foundation “Sakan,” Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Saadan, noted that the agreement is part of the non-profit sector’s efforts to enhance the stability of the most needy families and provide them with adequate housing, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to increase home ownership rates among Saudi families through cross-sectoral integration.
The Executive Director of the Ma’awa Association for Social Services, Engineer Muhammad Adnan Al-Saman, the quality services provided by the association to help the most needy families in cities and regions across the Kingdom achieve homeownership in a manner that meets their aspirations and needs, expressing his appreciation for the attention and support the sector receives from the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing in serving the families benefiting from the association.
