Ministry of Justice: Transaction value drops to 243 billion in the first seven months of this year

The value of real estate transactions completed from the beginning of 1436 AH through the end of Rajab reached 243.6 billion riyals, a decrease of 15% compared to the same period last year.

A report issued by the Ministry of Justice indicated that the value of residential transactions in the first 7 months of 1436 AH reached approximately 164.1 billion riyals, a decrease of 14 % compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, the value of commercial transactions reached approximately 79.6 billion riyals in the first seven months of 1436 AH, marking a decline of 18 % compared to the same period last year.

The value of real estate transactions during the month of Rajab reached 47 billion riyals, an increase of 17% compared to the same month of the previous year, when it stood at 40.1 billion riyals.

Real estate transactions during the month of Rajab were divided between residential properties, valued at 28.7 billion riyals—an increase of 4% compared to the same month last year— and commercial transactions valued at 18.3 billion riyals, an increase of 46% compared to last year.

Real estate transactions involving land parcels accounted for the largest share, totaling 42.7 billion riyals, representing approximately 91% of the total value, followed by transactions involving facilities, valued at 1.2 billion riyals.

As for the most active cities in terms of residential real estate transaction value during the month of Rajab, Jeddah ranked first with transactions totaling 13.98 billion riyals, an increase of 207% compared to the same month last year, followed by Riyadh with approximately 4.90 billion riyals, a decrease of 19% from the same month last year.

As for commercial transactions, Jeddah was the most active city, with the value of transactions completed during the month of Rajab reaching 7.73 billion riyals, an increase of 201% compared to the same month last year.
