The Secretariat stated that the monitoring efforts carried out by the sub-municipalities last month are part of an intensive support plan to improve the urban landscape and monitor building violations in all their forms, noting that the field operations resulted in notices being issued to 2,334 sites in violation to bring them into compliance with regulations.
It clarified that the violations detected ranged from failure to remove construction debris or renovation materials, and failure to post a sign at construction sites displaying permit information, as well as failure to fence or plant trees around plots of land in areas designated by the municipality in accordance with municipal specifications and instructions, and the dumping of construction debris on private property or in public places.
The Jeddah Municipality appreciated the contribution of residents and visitors to improving the urban landscape by reporting visual disturbances—by photographing the issue and submitting it via the “Baladi” app, or by calling the Unified Reporting Center at 940.
