It was revealed by “White Lands” Program that the invoices for the seventh cycle of the first phase of fees in Riyadh were issued last January for 116 plots of land with a total area exceeding 50 million square meters.
The program clarified in a statement that the total bills for white land fees issued in all cities where fees are applied for the first and second phases since the program’s launch exceeded 16,000 bills, including bills for the seventh cycle of fees in Riyadh during its first phase for the year 1444/1445 AH.
The program has called on landowners to either develop their land or pay the fees within one year of the invoice date to avoid penalties for non-payment within the specified period, which may reach 100% of the fee amount, in addition to the obligation to pay the fees due. The mechanism for evaluating and assessing the value of the land and the fees due can be viewed on the Vacant Land Fees website.
He added: “White Land Fees invoices have the status of an enforceable instrument, meaning they can be collected through the Enforcement Court in the event of non-payment. Any beneficiary can check whether a fee is outstanding on any white land using only the deed number via the website, and view all details regarding billing cycles for cities subject to the system via the link idlelands.housing.gov.sa“.
Please note that failure to pay within the statutory deadline will result in a fine of up to 100% of the fee amount, and that land owned by more than one owner under a single deed is subject to the fees, which are imposed on each owner in proportion to their share of the land, in accordance with Article 15 of the Executive Regulations of the Unused Land Fees; the amounts collected from fees and fines are allocated to the development of infrastructure projects for housing projects, the provision of public utilities to them, and the provision of public services therein.
