At first glance, some might think we’re going to talk about a massive sale or purchase deal…

Or perhaps about commercial properties worth millions of square meters.

All of that is possible and important...

But what’s most important of all, in my view...

is the ethics of the broker or real estate agent—that is the most challenging aspect…

You rarely find anyone who addresses this aspect critically or discusses it with complete transparency and impartiality...

And the broker is the linchpin of the real estate equation, so to speak...

First and foremost, they must be mindful of God in all their professional dealings and avoid anything unlawful, even if it is as small as a single halala…

Part of their ethics is that they are polite, well-mannered, respectful of their work, and honest in it…

Far from evasiveness, tricks, feigning honesty, or attempting to persuade despite the presence of obstacles or flaws that might stand in the way of completing the contract or transaction...

And when you listen to him, you’ll find him to be an eloquent speaker with refined speech—even toward his competitors. He steers the conversation and wields his tools with complete spontaneity… He does not feign perfection nor does he provide false information that might understate or overstate supply or demand…

As you delve into the details of the deal, you can tell from his behavior and speech that he is well-versed in the intricacies of the real estate system. He briefly outlines the process and provides you with accurate, official information about the relevant agencies and their procedures. He will not tempt or mislead you with information that contains fallacies, raises suspicions, or ties your hands by introducing a flawed system that could cost you dearly.

Then know that "trust" is the cornerstone of everything—without it, you won’t move a single inch.

Know how to earn people’s trust.

And work hard to earn this honor.

And do not abuse the trust they place in you, lest you fall—for then, regret will be of no use…

Smile… Greet others… And be cheerful when you meet someone…

Be generous with your hospitality and gentle in your dealings…

And when you’re under pressure from life or work…

Don’t hesitate to reschedule your meetings or postpone your deals…
