The Grand Mosque of King Abdullah Financial Center (KAFD) has been awarded the King Salman Urban Charter Award. The mosque's eye-catching geometric design, created by Omrania, was inspired by the desert flower that grows in the Arabian Peninsula, as the mosque appears to sprout from the ground when viewed from below, while its design from above reflects the blossoming of flowers when viewed from the surrounding towers.

The mosque was also recognized in the category of completed architectural projects. The mosque has also won a number of local and international awards in previous years, most notably the Abdul Latif Al Fouzan Award for Mosque Architecture in 2021, as well as the International Architecture Award in the category of Islamic Buildings in 2020.

Several iconic buildings within CAFED have been recognized for their architectural excellence, such as the CAFED Convention Center, one of the largest convention centers in Riyadh with an area of 28,000 square meters, whose design combines aesthetic excellence with operational efficiency in a seamless and sustainable manner. The Public Investment Fund Tower, designed by HOK in collaboration with Omrania, was recognized as the best architectural design for a commercial high-rise building at the International Property Awards in 2016.
