As part of its efforts to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the National Housing Company (NHC) seeks to strengthen its leading role in the development of the real estate sector and the national economy. In recent years, the company has made significant strides that have strengthened its economic and social impact, achieving remarkable accomplishments and launching ambitious projects that are shaping the future of the real estate sector in the Kingdom.

The CEO of NHC, Mohammed Saleh Al-Bati, revealed during an interview with Al Arabiya TV that the National Housing Company managed to create more than 600,000 jobs last year, with ambitious plans to add more than 150,000 jobs by 2025. He also noted that the company succeeded in making a direct contribution of more than 25 billion riyals to the GDP, reflecting its positive impact on the Saudi economy.

Al-Bati added that the company accounts for more than 60% of the total off-plan sales projects in the Kingdom for 2024, in addition to a market share of 23% in real estate financing, with the goal of increasing these shares over the next two years.

Al-Bati explained that the company recorded its highest sales in history for 2024, with sales exceeding 25 billion riyals—a figure higher than the combined sales of the past two years. He emphasized that the high demand for the company’s projects across various regions reflects the appeal of its real estate products.

During the “Cityscape” exhibition, National Housing announced plans to develop 62,000 new residential units, including more than 50% in the capital, Riyadh. The company also aims to provide more than 300,000 housing units by 2025, with plans to add 100,000 additional housing units next year to achieve this goal.

National Housing Corporation is looking to achieve major goals by 2030, aiming to develop 600,000 housing units within fully integrated communities across multiple Saudi cities. These goals reflect the company’s commitment to providing sustainable housing solutions that meet the needs of future generations, while supporting the national economy and creating more job opportunities.

Regarding human capital development, Al-Bati emphasized that the company launched the “Wa’ed” program three years ago, with the aim of training Saudi talent to manage major projects. Since its launch, the company has successfully trained hundreds of young men and women to prepare them for future leadership positions.

Al-Bati noted that the National Housing Company, in collaboration with government agencies and the Ministry of Education, launched a scholarship program to develop talent, sending 30 graduates abroad for graduate studies this year, with plans to send more young people abroad. The company also aims to train more than 1,000 young men and women to work on major projects valued at over 90 billion riyals, spread across more than 11 cities in the Kingdom.

Despite rising interest rates this year, National Housing has managed to achieve record sales, highlighting its ability to adapt its products to various economic conditions. Al-Bati expressed optimism that sales will double next year, with interest rates expected to fall, which will increase the attractiveness of the Kingdom’s real estate market.
