The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced the launch of a project updated executive regulations for the Idle Land Law on the National Competitiveness Center’s consultation platform, inviting all interested parties and experts to share their opinions and comments during the public consultation period.
This initiative is part of the Ministry’s commitment to promoting transparency and community participation, and to supporting the development of the real estate sector in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its ambitious housing programs.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing emphasized the importance of developers, citizens, and interested parties participating via the survey platform, noting that comments and suggestions will be carefully reviewed before the final version of the regulations is issued.
It explained that the approval of amendments to the Vacant Land Fees Regulation is an extension of ongoing efforts to regulate the real estate sector and achieve balanced and sustainable urban development that serves citizens, noting that the regulations on fees for vacant properties will be issued within one year of the system’s publication in the Official Gazette.
