The Construction Opportunities Conference in the Royal Commission Cities, held over two days in the conference and lecture hall in Jubail Industrial City, discussed construction opportunities in infrastructure, water projects, public utilities, and electricity, construction opportunities in residential neighborhoods in Jubail Industrial City, addressing continuous population growth, the Royal Commission’s industrial development programs, key construction opportunities within them, and major projects in Jubail 2.
A presentation was given on Waad Al-Shamal Phosphate Company, its future investment plans, and available opportunities, in addition to a presentation by Saudi Autotech on the sulfuric acid project, Two working papers were presented on the Royal Commission’s standards regarding the environment, health, safety, and project quality, followed by a discussion and dialogue on ensuring project quality, sustainability, and safety in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair projects.
The conference, organized by MEED in collaboration with the Royal Commission in Jubail with the participation of a number of experts and specialists, concluded. Engineer Ahmed bin Mutair Al-Balawi, Director of Technical Affairs, gave a presentation on the Ras Al-Khair Industrial Project, the government’s objectives for it, and the general plan and the massive scale of industries, investments, products, and future opportunities.
Participants—whose numbers exceeded expectations—also affirmed the value of organizing the conference, as it addresses important topics and issues related to mega-projects and other associated aspects such as engineering, design, and feasibility studies.
