<Al Hamad expressed his hope that our recommendations in this forum will be decisions that contribute to achieving the sustainable development we seek for future cities, explaining that the political decision to support these recommendations can be achieved as we have the will, which can be translated into serious governmental action that contributes to the proper utilization of resources and good management of facilities so that many glitches are eliminated. The main themes of the engineering forum are smart and modern projects in health, information communication technology, smart buildings, smart energy sources, smart applications in health, smart applications in education and youth development, and smart applications for people with special needs.
In the same direction, the Automated Bus System project from the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, won first place in the Gulf Engineering Federation Award, while the second place went to the Shagaya Renewable Energy Complex project from the Scientific Research Institute in Kuwait, and the third place went to the Kuwait Credit Bank building project from the Credit Bank in Kuwait.
As for the category of Health, Information Technology, Smart Buildings, Smart Energy Sources, Smart Applications in Health, Smart Applications in Education and Youth Development, and Smart Applications for People with Special Needs.
As for the individual category, the Al Barayah City project designed by Faisal Al Jahim, the Smart City project by Wazid Al Mutairi, the Encouragement Award for the project of controlling chairs for people with complete paralysis by Abdullah Al Shamali, Abdullah Al Rumi and Masoud Afkah, and the Encouragement Award for the project of using imaging techniques to determine the impact of water injection on wells by Nada Jamal, Lulwa Al Sultan, Hessa Al Qusi and Aida Al Anzi.
The first prize was awarded to the project of the Gulf Engineering Union.
